Brand name: Dupixent®
Dupilumab injection is in a class of medication called monoclonal antibodies.
It works by stopping the action of certain substances in the body that cause inflammation.
Dupixent® (Dupilumab injection) is used for the following:
To treat symptoms of eczema
To prevent wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness due to certain types of asthma
To treat chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis
To treat eosinophilic esophagitis
To treat prurigo nodularis
Dupilumab injection may be prescribed for other uses
How is propolis typically used?
By adults by mouth daily no longer than 13 months (healthcare provider should give you a dose best for your condition)
In products such as creams, lotions, ointments, gels, mouth rinses, chewing gum, cosmetics, cough syrup, lip balm, throat lozenges, throat sprays, toothpaste
What side effects can be caused by Dupixent® (Dupilumab injections):
redness or pain at the injection site
sore throat, runny nose, cough, fever, or other sign of infection
mouth or lip sores
toothache
difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
facial redness or rash
dizziness
diarrhea
muscle pain
Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your healthcare provider immediately or get emergency medical treatment:
new or worsening eye problems
rash, shortness of breath, fever, chest pain, feeling of pins and needles, or numbness in arms or legs
new or worsening joint pain
If you experience any of these symptoms, stop using dupilumab injection and call your healthcare provider immediately or get emergency medical treatment:
swelling of the face, eyelids, tongue, or throat
swollen lymph nodes
difficulty swallowing or breathing
tightness in the chest or throat
rapid heartbeat
itching
rash
hives
fainting, dizziness, or feeling lightheaded
nausea or vomiting
stomach cramps
flat, firm, hot, red and painful skin lumps
fever
Dupilumab injection may have other side effects. Call your healthcare provider for any unusual symptoms or problems.
Special precautions should be taken while using dupilumab injection (Dupixent®):
Tell you healthcare provider if you are allergic to dupilumab or any ingredients in dupilumab injection
Inform your prescriber of prescription or non-prescription medications, vitamins, supplements, herbal products you are taking or plan to take
Tell your prescriber of any eye problems, herpes zoster, genital herpes, hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, threadworm infection
Inform your healthcare provider if you have asthma
Check with your prescriber before receiving any vaccinations
